CALEA Public Comment Portal

The Papillion Police Department is a CALEA (Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies) accredited agency. We have been member of CALEA since 2009 and earned the Advanced level of accreditation. The overall intent of the accreditation process is to provide PPD with information to support continuous improvement, as well as foster our pursuit of professional excellence.

CALEAAs a part of this process, we provide an opportunity for public feedback via the CALEA Public Comment Portal. The purpose of this public portal is to receive comments regarding our compliance with CALEA standards, engagement in the service community, delivery of public safety services, and overall candidacy for continued accredited status. These comments can be in the form of commendations or concerns.

It is important to know that CALEA is not an investigatory body. Subsequently, the public portal should not be used to submit information for such purposes. There will be no response from CALEA other than their acknowledgement of submissions through the portal. However, the information will be considered by CALEA Assessors in context of its relevancy to comply with standards and the tenets of CALEA Accreditation.

CALEA standard titles may be viewed on the CALEA website.

If you have questions about our agency, standards, or the process, you may contact the Papillion Police Department’s CALEA Accreditation Manager, Sgt Katherine Mattern, at 402-597-2035.
