La Vista

After over 50 years of serving the citizens of La Vista, the La Vista Volunteer Fire Department handed over their operations to the Papillion Fire Department on April 1st, 2014. Papillion firefighters now staff the two La Vista fire stations 24 hours per day per 365 days per year, just as they do with the two fire stations located in Papillion.

Over 50 years ago, the PFD was one of the three founding members of a mutual aid system known as Tri-Mutual Aid. This system now consists of 29 agencies in a five-county region in Eastern Nebraska. This commitment to helping our neighboring departments for over 50 years will continue as we proudly serve the citizens of La Vista.
