Cardio and Weight Areas

  • Individuals 14 years of age and older are permitted.
  • Youth ages 14-15 must pass an equipment orientation class before utilizing equipment.
  • Youth ages 12-13 must complete a family orientation and have a parent or legal guardian (18 or older) present at their side at all times.
  • Youth ages 11 and under are not permitted in the Fitness Areas.
  • Proper footwear required and must be dry and free of dirt before participating.
  • No tobacco, food, gum or liquids other than water.
  • Only spill proof water bottles are permitted in area.
  • Chalk (including liquid chalk) is not permitted in the Fitness Areas.
  • Use gym wipes to thoroughly clean equipment before and after each use.
  • Return all equipment to their proper location.
  • Weights and dumbbells may not be dropped on the floor.
  • Individuals are asked to limit use of cardio equipment to thirty (30) minutes of use during peak hours.
  • Participants are required to use equipment for its intended purposes and maintain safety at all times.
  • Personal items should be stored in lockers of or cubbies. 
  • Please take cell phone conversations and usage out of the fitness areas and into the commons areas.
  • Headphones are needed when using personal device or equipment to listen to music or stream videos.
  • Personal training, or any fitness consultation, by anyone other than a certified personal trainer is strictly prohibited.  All personal trainers must be approved by the City of Papillion Recreation Department.
